OUR BOARD

Youturn is guided by a Board of Directors whose diverse skills and expertise provide invaluable support to our CEO and Executive Team. Their leadership ensures that our daily operations are closely aligned with our strategic vision, reflecting our commitment to effective governance. The Board plays a crucial role in upholding our regulatory and social responsibilities, ensuring that we meet our obligations as both a charitable organisation and a company limited by guarantee.

In 2024, following the appointment of the CEO in September 2023, Youturn’s Board of Directors has begun to take a longer-term view of the company’s success and the impact this could potentially have on our varied communities across the country. With a focus on its performance role, the Board worked effectively with and through the CEO and Executive to set Youturn’s strategic direction for both the 2025 year and the commencement of the next strategic plan to 2028. At their heart, both strategies prioritise impact through heightened service excellence, systems, and a data culture. This focus is enabled by the desire to continue leading a positive learning and development culture in our team of nearly 300 staff.

Furthermore, several directors joined the CEO in completing the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ Company Directors Course. Through participation and knowledge sharing in a facilitated and interactive course style, directors were able to build on their existing technical and behavioural competencies to ensure Youturn continues to model contemporary and exemplary governance practices, which, in turn, will see the company deliver on its purpose and serve its various communities.
